Tractor, More Again, Tractor

April 5, 2009. Lincoln could sit on the tractor as it resides in our shed for hours, literally. One afternoon, Erik kept Lincoln company, Erik perched on a joint compound bucket and Lincoln happily 'driving' the tractor for over an hour while I went to the grocery store. When I arrived home, the two of them were peacefully sitting in the same place as when I had left, both be-bopping to music and day-dreaming about the summer to come. There is no doubt that Erik and I will be hard-pressed to ever be able to mow the yard without a little helper. And for all those parents out there looking for something to do to entertain your toddler on a rainy day, I have to give a shot out to Kelly and Steve for a fabulous idea. Take your little tike to the local Lowes or Home Depot and let him/her ride the 'tractors' to their heart's content. Warning: You have to have a great next activity and/or bribe to get them to come home; otherwise, prepare yourself for a full-blown temper tantrum in the midst of all the do-it-yourselvers.
