Lincoln's Birthday Party

March 21, 2009. We celebrated Lincoln's second birthday by throwing a big family party. Almost everyone from my family was able to come for the weekend - we had a house full which made for a great celebration.

I made Lincoln his very own tractor cake. It may not have the same proportions as a John Deer, but it is a pretty close. Complete with trailer filled with hay.

Farm animal cupcakes were an added treat for the kids.

Cake decorating in process. Some voiced their doubts about my tractor cake making abilities, but I proved them wrong.

This is what happens when you eat to much red food coloring.

Ralph was in charge of the blue cupcakes.

Nanny supervised.

Relaxing in the family room.

Zachary getting ready for the party.

Emerson giving a solo performance. He has been watching Daddy Tom closely as you will note that his hands are in perfect position.

Lincoln was singing and be-bopping along to the music.

Lacey is all smiles.

The kids enjoyed playing together. While we were getting dinner ready, they composed a song for Lincoln which they sung before opening presents.

Nothing beats mexican food from On the Border. Catering made dinner preparations a breeze.

Olivia enjoying her dinner.

Lincoln is getting ansy for presents. Is it time yet?

Yeah!!! I get to open presents.

Tearing in....

More, again???

All of the kids had fun helping Lincoln open his presents.

Lincoln got very sad when it was time to share one of his new toys.

Double-fisting his new wheels.

Time for birthday cake. Happy Birthday, Lincoln!!!

Lincoln blowing out his candles with gusto.

Much to my dismay, Lincoln wasn't at all interested in eating cake, but he welcomed his Nana feeding him ice cream.

The party scene.

Jake trying out a red cupcake.

Priceless!

Emerson finishing off his cupcake. Must get every last bit of icing.
