Grandma, Chuck, Tractors, and Airplanes

March 27-29, 2009. Lincoln got to have not one, but two birthday celebrations two weekends in a row. Lincoln's Grandma and Grandpa Chuck came for a visit from Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Though he doesn't get to see them in person as often as he would like, he was clearly happy when he realized he got to play with them all weekend. He proudly called for his "Gramma" and "Duck" whenever he wanted to get their attention.

Taking a quick rest in the Air & Space Museum.

Look at all those airplanes.

Look Gramma, it's a "copter."

For the life of me, I couldn't get Lincoln to take his hand out of his mouth.

Reading books with Gramma. And this happens to be a book about leprechauns that his Great Grandma Marilyn sent him for his birthday. I am not sure who is enjoying the story more, Lincoln or Chuck?

Present time!!!

Wow, a tractor!!! Just want I wanted. And it moves on its own, plays songs, and comes with a farmer and animals. Lincoln's Grandma also gave him some very cool clothes, which I was far more excited about than Lincoln.

Showing Gramma one of his favorite spots to play in the yard.

Relaxing on the deck.

Chuck and Lincoln are having a deep conversation about the underlying morale of "Finding Nemo."

Gramma decided to join Lincoln and Chuck watching Nemo.

Lincoln's Gramma got him the coolest airplane at the museum. After giving it to him in the car on the way home, Lincoln didn't let it out of his site. He wanted everyone to play "airpane". We all played with him throughout the weekend, but I have to say that Chuck had the best airplane noises.

Chuck and Lincoln. Airplane verses space shuttle.

Mayday, mayday...emergency landing. Expect to just clear Labrador mountain.

The happy pilots!

Never to old to play airplane with your son.
