Labor Day 2007
Labor Day 2007. Lincoln had his first camping experience over Labor Day weekend. We camped for three nights in Coffee Town, Virginia (about 3 1/2 hours southwest of DC). The weather was beautiful, perfect for camping - warm in the day and cool at night. Tom, Anita, Jeremy, Ursula, and Emerson joined us for the fun. Lincoln loves the outdoors and the good ole' mountain air helped him sleep soundly straight through the night. Whoo Hoo!!!! On the Friday that we left, he proved his excitement by rolling over for the first time and blowing lots of bubbles.
We took the boys on a hike to Mount Pleasant. Emerson forget his Baby Bjorn, but we discovered that a long sleeve t-shirt works just as good.

Erik, Jeremy, and Chase enjoying the views.
Chase had a terrific time - she loves the rock hoping in the creek and racing up the trail, but always stays close to ensure she gets lots of attention.
The proud grandparents.
Lincoln and Emerson were ready for the chilly mountain air in their flannel shirts. Lincoln got a kick out of poking Emerson.
My favorite mountain men!!!
Looking up at the leaves as the wind blows. Let's hope sometime the wind is able to blow his hair.
Relaxing around the campfire after a terrific meal prepared by Anita. She is a terrific cast iron cook and Tom builds a fire like an Eagle Scout.
Twice the corruption potential!
Ursula enjoyed snuggling with Lincoln.
Apparently diapers are only engineered to withstand a certain amount of pressure. Ursula really enjoys all the aspects of motherhood...
