Busy in May - Two Months Old

On May 2nd, Lincoln visited the National Zoo for the first time. He seemed to enjoy himself, although he was more interested in sleeping than observing the animals. The animals were really active during the late afternoon. The elephants munched on bamboo, the panda stayed inside where it was cool, and the tiger cubs enjoyed a taste at the pool.

On May 17th, Lincoln visited the pediatrian for his two month check up. At 8 1/2 weeks, Lincoln weighed 10 lb, 6 oz and measured 21 1/2 inches long. He has doubled his birth weigh and grown two and a half inches. He has started to smile and coo, and bicycle his arms and legs. He enjoys listening to his Baby Einstein music and has developed a fondness for any song by the Beatles.

Stretch, peeky, meeky...that was a good nap.

Lincoln and I are hanging out on the beautiful handmade quilt that Lincoln received as a gift from Lee Gibson, my parents longtime neighbors in Madison Heights.

Sometimes Lincoln gets really mad...

And other times he couldn't be more peaceful. Lincoln is all tuckered out and sleeping on his mini boppy.

Lincoln has been learning how to drink from a bottle and so far he has taken to it without much fuss.
