Airplanes & Big Fish
March 31st - April 3rd, 2011. Lincoln and Berkeley got a visit from Grandma and Chuck, who made the long journey up from Mt. Pleasant, S.C. to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time celebrating Lincoln's birthday, visiting the Air & Space Museum, and the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
Grandma and Chuck are displaying looks of wonder over how many crackers Lincoln and Berkeley can eat.

Slightly cold and rainy at times, but all in all, it was a beautiful day for our visit to the Baltimore harbor.

Bubbles....all the kids (and adults) gravitate toward these columns of bubbles just as you enter the aquarium.

Check out these cool reflections I captured. Berkeley found the perfect spot to snack (yet again) and watch the sharks swim by.

He was fascinated watching the big sharks swim by. Sort of gives me the hebby jebbies seeing my little guy so close to a shark.

But the highlight of the weekend was when Grandma brought out her special surprise - a macko shark for Lincoln and a leopard shark for Berkeley. The boys' joy and excitement was a sight to see. They were so happy and immediately started a shark racing/chasing game, running back and forth across the family room. Just watching them was hysterical. The sharks continue to be a huge hit and regularly travel with the boys and cozy up with them at night.

After Grandma and Chuck left, Lincoln and I played a game of hide and seek. Lincoln's hiding spots crack me up. He hides in the most obvious places, including this prime spot, peeking out between an armchair and side table. The whole time I am "looking" for him, he is laughing so hard and repeatedly telling me where he is.
