Happy Half a Year
Lincoln turned six months old on September 17th - I can't believe we are the parents of a six month old. It truly seems like just yesterday that we were bringing home our tiny 5 lb little guy. In just six months, Lincoln has tripled in size and grown 6 1/2 inches. He now weighs 15 lbs 4 oz and measures 25 1/2 inches. Erik and I are amazed at how much of a personality our little man has. He loves squealing, babbling, and generally chewing on anything, but seems to prefer his feet over most toys. We are three months into physical therapy now and he has started to roll over, hold his head in midline most of the time, and his torso muscles continue to get stronger. It will likely be another month or two before he can sit up on us own, but we are enjoying the current stage and are in no hurry for him to grow up. He has begun to lose his baby face and is starting to look like a real little man.
Lincoln is so fascinated by Chase that we thought he might like to hang out with her. Apparently he still prefers to watch from the safety of our arms. Chase is so good with Lincoln - she always wants to give him kisses. We are working on teaching her to keep her licks to herself - that is until Lincoln can lick back.

On to be so flexible....
Erik can really get the giggles going.
From squeals of delight to snores of contentment.
Daddy's asleep, but not me. The Daily Show isn't over yet. I am waiting for my moment of Zen.
So I confess - it was a beautiful day, I have a beautiful little boy, and I couldn't help playing Sears portrait gallery with him.
What does the chicken say?
Follow your inner chicken.
Peekaboo...
I see you.
Lincoln having his first bite of rice cereal. He was none too thrilled with the idea of me putting a spoon full of goo in his mouth.

After a few days of trying, we can now get the spoon and the cereal in his mouth, but the cereal rolls right back out. He likes playing with the spoon which makes for one messy little boy.
