Cox Farms 2011
October 16, 2011. A beautiful, fall October day...perfect for a family trip to Cox Farms. Full of pumpkins, farm animals, slides, hayrides, and corn mazes, Cox Farms has become an annual tradition for us. This time last year, Berkeley was too little to pay much attention to the goings on around him last year, but as a full fledged toddler, he was ready to be a part of everything. And Lincoln was right there by his side to show him all the cool things to do and see.

Both boys clinging to my legs for safety in fear of the costumed cow waking around and waving at everyone. Lincoln says, "mama, cows are not supposed to walk standing up; how is that cow doing that." On some level he understands that it was a person dressed as a cow, but on the other hand he has the healthy self-preservation instinct of a child.

That was super fun Daddy. And even more fun was when Berkeley saw this picture a few days later...he literally clapped his hands together and said, "Wheee...slide."

More sliding adventures. The farm is full of them. The boys tried out at least three different ones.
We enjoyed a family hayride. Lincoln was not very excited about the aliens that came running out of the space ship to high-five the folks on the ride. He kept a watchful eye on those aliens until we were far, far away and repeatedly announced to anyone within ear shot that he didn't like those things. Oddly, later than night when I asked him what his favorite part of the day was, he calmly responded that he liked the people dressed in alien costumes the best. Strange how the mind of a 4 year old works.
