Batter Up

October 14, 2011. After nearly a week in Chicago for a conference, Erik came home with a surprise for Lincoln. A Chicago cubs bat and ball. Lincoln was super excited and proud to show off his stellar hand eye coordination. No joke, Lincoln really can swing and hit just about anything that the pitcher sends his way. The best part about the bat and ball for me was that it served as a perfect dangling carrot all week. When Lincoln started to turn into his alternate personality, all it took was a simple reminder that Daddy was only going to bring a prize to a good little boy who listens to his mama and snap Lincoln was right back to looking and acting like the little boy pictured below. Bribery at its best.

Berkeley takes mowing the sidewalk very seriously. Ain't nobody gonna slow him down, oh no, he's got to keep on mowing!!!

Kinship drive decorated for fall. There is a giant spider in the web that the boys helped me pick out. Despite having helped put the web into place, some days I think Lincoln is convinced that the big plastic black widow actually made the web to catch flies.
