Cox Farms 2009

October 3, 2009. We spend a beautiful Saturday at Cox Farms, a local farm that hosts an annual fall festival complete with hayrides, farm animals, slides, and pumpkins.

Watching the pigs. There were three different litters of pigs to see, the youngest of which were only a week and a half old. I had forgotten just how small a baby pig can be. The ones pictured below are about four weeks old.

We got to watch a "cow milking" show. The pictures doesn't do justice, but this poor cow was about to burst. She produces between 9-12 gallons a day.

There were oodles of slides to choose from. Erik enjoyed the biggest slide of all, but Lincoln wasn't to thrilled as he wanted to be a big boy and go down on his own. As you can tell, this slide was way to tall for a 2 1/2 to venture down by himself. The "I do it myself" demands at the top resulted in a bit of a scene once they reached the bottom. But Lincoln was happy again when he got to climb in the dinosaur slide like a big boy.

Lincoln waiting for the tractor to come back around for the hayride. People had a choice between the "chicken" line or the "duck line." Lincoln selected the chicken.

Riding on the hayride.

Picking out a pumpkin on our way out.
