Preparing for Valentine's Day 2012

February 13, 2012. Lincoln and I worked over the weekend and the night before Valentine's Day to make special Valentine's for each of his friends at school. He had very specific designs that he wanted to make for each of his friends and hand selected each of the squishy robots and zipper tins based on what he thought each would like. Gender stereotypes definitely occur at an early age as Lincoln very specifically picked only superhero tins and orange or green robots for the boys and woody/buzz lightyear tins (the more femine of the choices provided) with purple robots for the girls. When it came time to make the first selection for his friend Kayleigh, Lincoln actually signed and say, "Oh mama, I wish we had princess ones because I know that is what Kayleigh would like."
With some guidance and encouragement, Lincoln diligently addressed all eleven of the envelopes with his friends' names.

Okay - Miss. "I don't think Lincoln's Valentine's are going to be cool enough"... I'm impressed!
