Lincoln Spys a Moth

June 15, 2009. Lincoln and Erik were out on the deck enjoying the evening air, when Erik spotted these super cool moths. Truth be told, I was inside and when Erik told me to come quick because there was a really cool thing outside that might go away, I thought he was trying to trick me into changing a potentially dirty diaper. I was wrong -he really did want to show me something really cool. Lincoln was quick to point out the "butterflies."

These moths actually didn't hatch from the pod seen on the railing. I suspect we might see a praying mantis emerge at some point.

They hung around for nearly 45 minutes doing their thing in the comfort of our deck.
