Oh, Jack o' Lantern, You are such a Funny Sight

A beautiful Sunday (October 26th, 2008) followed a rainy Saturday. We took advantage of the weather and strolled through the neighborhood to the local pumpkin patch. The fresh, fall air was nice and all of us enjoyed the exercise, Chase most especially. We ended the day with a respectable Jack O' Lantern on our front stoop.

The pumpkin patch, "city style."

We bought this stroller because it will someday hopefully hold both of our children, but in the meantime, it works great for hauling pumpkins.

Earlier in the day, Lincoln helped me make a highly unusual albino, strawberry-flavored, pumpkin cake.

Lincoln expressing his gratitude to us for letting him play outside. Or just laughing over a falling leaf?

The transformation from oridinary orange gourd to jack o' lantern begins.

Lincoln enjoyed using the big spoons to help dig out the pumpkin pulp.

Carvin' it up.
