Standing Proud

About a month ago, one evening when I was in the kitchen making dinner, Lincoln just stood up in the middle of the floor. I couldn't believe it. Since that time, Lincoln has been practicing his skills and has taken to popping up any ole' given time when we least expect it. Pictured here at 19 months, with spoon in hand, Lincoln is proudly demonstrating how he stands up like a big boy. We are so proud and happy for him. When Lincoln stands, often he claps his hands and says, "Yeah" followed by a huge smile.

On October 23rd, again Lincoln and I were hanging out in the kitchen, and he really blew me away. He stood up in the middle of the floor and took five steps on his own from our counter to our kitchen table. I was shaking with excitement and even shed a few tears. Our little boy is going to be walking soon.

He is doing it, he is really doing it!!!
